An Imbuya experiment...

I was looking through my scrap wood cart the other day and came across a piece of imbuya that was dried out and cracked. I cut it into smaller pieces that I could still fit in the planer and glued the broken pieces together. Afterwards, I scraped and then planed all of the boards flat again and then laminated them together into a big block. The candle stands I had been thinking about doing for some time now. I think they turned out great with the linseed oil finish! I lacquered them today and will do another coat tomorrow.
